Protein-Power Trail Mix

 

Sacha inchi is a great snack for traveling or backpacking when you don’t have easy access to other healthy foods. Sacha inchi seeds (don’t mistake them for nuts!) have an earthy flavor that some people are not crazy about. However, when these seeds are paired with the tartness of golden berries and the delicious chocolate flavor of raw cocao nibs, it makes a delicious combination for a do-it-yourself trail mix! Mix this up and enjoy a quick, healthy, and tasty snack!

KITCHEN UTENSILS

  • Sealable bowl or bag

WHOLESOME INGREDIENTS

(Note: Use all organic, fresh ingredients if possible)

Makes 5 servings: ½ cup = 1 serving

½ cup and 2 tablespoons golden berries

½ cup and 2 tablespoons cacao nibs

1 ¼ cup or 1 5 oz bag sacha inchi (38 seeds = 1 oz)

STEPS TO SOMETHING DELICIOUS

Pour all ingredients in to a bag or a container with a sealable lid and mix up! Enjoy! Store in an air-tight container.
